Sand Cove Road

Specific to Sand Cove Road streetlighting: We approved and staked areas with DEC for streetlights to be installed. However, DEC requested we retrieve approval from DelDot since the streetlights would be in their right-of-way. Unfortunately, DelDot rejected the request, making streetlights on Sand Cove Road unlikely. Safety is of paramount concern for everyone. We proactively added the shoulder widening and path even though it was not required as a part of any project approvals. We will continue to look into alternatives.
